FAQS

What is a Professional Learning tour?
An EF Professional Learning Tour is your opportunity to immerse yourself in new cultures and experiences with like-minded educators who share the common goal of opening the world to their students—all while taking important steps in your career.

How does it work?

Large Groups and Private Tours:
Our Professional Learning Team will work with you and your school, organization, or district to:
  1. Help you find a destination that suits your group’s professional goals and interests
  2. Determine the best strategy to promote your tour and recruit travelers
  3. Create a successful and life-changing professional learning experience
Individuals and Small Groups:
On select itineraries, you also have the option to enroll on your own or with a small group of colleagues. It’s an incredible opportunity for you to collaborate and travel with a diverse group of educators from across the country.

Where will your tour take you? Explore our destinations.

What will I experience on tour?

Your Professional Learning experience will explore one of two themes:

Cultures & Classrooms: Experience your destination through the lens of education within the local community. As you discover age-old regional foods, you’ll connect culture to cuisine and explore their ties to your destination and across Europe.

Comparative Education Systems: Dive deep into the pedagogy of a regional education system as you explore how it addresses the needs of the surrounding community. Discover the trends and successes of this educational approach through school visits and interact with local educators and students.

Where can I travel?

Here’s where we’re headed in 2017. Each tour culminates in the Global Leadership Summit on the Future of Food in Milan, Italy. We can also work with you to customize an itinerary to fit your specific professional learning goals.

Barcelona, Spain
Berlin, Germany
Helsinki, Finland
Rome & Milan, Italy
Paris, France
